Plate Structure

The one of the most important parts of the plate heat exchangers is the plate itself. The plates are pressed from various materials such as stainless steel to pure titanium with special design which creates turbulence to achieve highest heat transfer rates. The material of the plates depends on the medium passing through the plate heat exchanger. It is very important that the medium must be suitable for plate material otherwise, aggressive medium can damage the plates.
The plate thickness depends on the application and working pressure, which is usually between 0.4mm and 1mm. Thickness of the plate differs depending on the type of ARES Plate Heat Exchanger as well.
