Pre-Cleaning : This includes high-pressure water cleaning to remove loose scaling and fouling.

Chemical Cleaning : Chemical cleaning is a method which is used against hard to remove contamination. Different temperatures, agitation, and concentrations will be utilized to assure maximum cleaning efficiency. It is not always possible to reach the required result by using one cleaning solution. Sometimes hours in an agitated acid solution has to be followed by extended periods in a high temperature caustic solution.

Leak Detection : Our standard leak detecting test is a dye penetrant test where a dye is sprayed onto one side of the plate and a developer on the other. Although this test is very time consuming and the most expensive way of testing, we find it's the most reliable method of finding cracks and pinholes, where even the smallest possible pinhole will be detected.

Re-Pressing of Deformed Plates : In most cases deformation of plates are due to the fact that the unit is over tightened when it starts to leak. Over tightening the plate heat exchanger might cause deformation of the plates and increase the leakage volume. After this process it is almost impossible to stop leakage. ARES PHE offers a service of repressing of deformed plates to save you money instead of changing the whole plate pack. This service is only available for our own plate range.

Hydraulic Closing Tool : Assembling the plate heat exchanger after cleaning has always been most difficult process since it needs a lot of power to tighten it. When it comes big plate heat exchanger with a lot of plates it might take hours. To save time and labor hydraulic closing tools are commonly used to ease this process.
